Virgil Dean Davis of Hodgen, Oklahoma was born on May 2, 1937 in Page, Oklahoma to Ella Bea and Lola (Warford) Davis and passed away on December 26, 2020 surrounded by family in Hodgen, Oklahoma at the age of 83.
He is survived by:

Merwyn Davis and wife Debbie of Hodgen, Oklahoma
One brother:
Ed Davis and wife Irene of Hodgen, Oklahoma
Two sisters-in-law:
Phyllis Davis of Heavener, Oklahoma
Diane Davis of Hodgen, Oklahoma
Six grandchildren:
Jason York and wife Tracy, Jason Davis and wife Devon, Joshua York and wife Lori, Jennifer Eckstein and husband Tony, Tyler Davis and wife Jamie, and Ashley Brooks and husband Zack
16 great-grandchildren:
Jessi Parks, Hunter York, Breanna Rigby, Miranda Faulkenberry, Carson Faulkenberry, Cecilia Earls, Hunter Jones, Mason York, Pierce Davis, Hayes Davis, Hadley Smith, Roark Davis, Haden Jones, Hendrix Davis, Zarae Brooks, and Zaybree Brooks

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ella Bea and Lola (Warford) Davis; his wife, Nila (Dowell) Davis; and two brothers, Kenneth Davis and Bobby Davis.
Virgil was a long-time resident of the area and a farmer. He was a long-time member of Hodgen First Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for 24 years. Virgil was a Charter Member and volunteer firefighter for the Hodgen Fire Department. He loved working on his farm, spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Virgil will be missed by all whom loved and knew him.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Hodgen First Baptist Church in Hodgen, Oklahoma with Brother Joe Haydon Hall and Brother Charles Caughern officiating. Interment will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Carson Faulkenberry, Joshua York, Jason York, Zack Brooks, Jason Davis, and Tyler Davis
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Hunter York, Hunter Jones, and Mason York
Viewing will begin from noon until 8:30 p.m., Monday and 8:30 a.m. until noon, Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will have visitation with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
