Velma Lee Baker of Fort Smith, Arkansas was born September 10, 1926 in Howe, Oklahoma to James and Martha Alice (Chambers) Oliver and passed away March 8, 2018 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 91.
She is survived by:

Doris Baker and husband Bill of Fort Smith, Arkansas
Three granddaughters:
Ladonna (Jeanie) Webster
Kelli Baker-Worsley and husband Harry
Sheena Woods and husband Dustin
Four great-grandchildren
Nine great-great-grandchildren
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Nathan Baker; four brothers; and three sisters. Velma was a life-long resident of the area and a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Velma will be missed deeply by many.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, March 12, 2018 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Howard Huddle officiating. Burial will follow in Howe Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Family
Viewing will be from noon until 6:00 p.m., Saturday; 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday; and 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
