Tommy Wayne Lowe of Heavener, Oklahoma was born October 13, 1961 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Luther Glen and Helen Imagene (Branscum) Lowe and passed away on July 24, 2026 at the age of 64.

He is survived by:

One daughter:  Christina Barentine

One son:  Tommy Jason Lowe

One sister:  Glenda Simmons

One brother:  Ronald Lowe

His grandchildren: Montana and Rylan Lowe, Dominic and Elizabeth Naylor

He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Helen Lowe; and one brother, David Lowe.

Tommy, a long-time resident of the community, retired as a Correctional Officer at the Jim Hamilton Correctional Center. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, where he created lasting memories through laughter, stories, and cherished traditions.

An avid outdoorsman, Tommy found peace and solace in nature. Whether hunting in the woods, fishing on a quiet lake, or simply enjoying a day in the fresh air, he had a deep appreciation for God’s creation and the simple pleasures life offered. A passionate sports fan, he never missed a chance to cheer for his favorite teams or enjoy a game surrounded by family and friends.

Tommy was known for his kindness, strong work ethic, and readiness to lend a helping hand. His warm smile, sense of humor, and generosity touched the lives of many. He was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back if you asked. His loved ones will forever hold his memory dear. Though he will be deeply missed, Tommy’s legacy of love, faith, family, and an appreciation for the outdoors will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family will visit with friends on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener, Oklahoma.
