Sue Carolyn Barker of Heavener, Oklahoma was born July 8, 1936 in Heavener, Oklahoma to George J. and Willa M. (Harrell) Meeh and went home to be with her Lord on October 28, 2017 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 81.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harrell (Harry); and her first husband, Donald Cron. Sue was a 1954 graduate of Heavener High School and was a homemaker. After high school, Sue attended the University of Oklahoma for several years and took courses in business. She returned to Heavener to help run the family business. The Meeh family owned and operated what was known as the T & M Pharmacy and Gifts. If you needed to find an official of Heavener you would have to go to the T & M Pharmacy in the morning because theyd all be there having their coffee. The pharmacy and gift shop was enjoyed by everybody of all ages.
Sue married Donald Cron and they moved to Denver, Colorado, where Don worked as a Taxidermist and Sue worked for an oil company. They returned to Heavener when her father died in 1968 and stayed to help her brother. Donald passed away in 1971 from eating wild berries and she married Ray Barker in 1975. She gave her life to the Lord at the early age of 12 years old while attending Vacation Bible School. She loved music and was in the schools marching band. She played the piano for the school orchestra. Sue sang in the school and church choir for many years.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Heavener First Baptist Church with Brother Sam Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Hank Stripling, Robert Swinford, Mike Andrews, Ralph Perdue, Jim Presley, and Harold Sanders.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Midge Harris, Gilly Robinson, John Summers, Bruce Smith, Charles Williams, and Lance Ford.
Viewing will be from noon until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. until noon, Wednesday. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Alzheimers and Parkinsons disease Foundations in her memory.
