Shaelia Irene (ONeal) Brown, of Heavener, Oklahoma was born December 25, 1946 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Hiram and LaVerne (Johnston) ONeal and passed away December 28, 2016 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

She is survived by:

Her loving husband, Jim of 27 years

One step-son:
Scott Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma

One step-daughter:
Sherry Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma

One precious sister:
Pam Austin of Tulsa, Oklahoma

Two step-grandchildren:
Cody Kimbel of Tulsa, Oklahoma
Madison Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma

One aunt and uncle:
Louis and Earline Winfrey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

She also leaves behind a host of cousins and friends. One special family, the family of Charlie Shadwick held a very treasured place in her heart.

Shaelia was a lifelong member of the Order Of Eastern Star, Poteau/Cameron, Oklahoma Chapter, a member of Faithbridge United Methodist Congregation in Heavener, Oklahoma and a 1965 graduate of Heavener High School. She served as past president of American Businesswomens Association and Oil Capital Chapter Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a uniquely, talented woman with a very diverse employment history. She was Executive Secretary for Sheriff Charles Hurley, a personal assistant to Mrs. Harold Stewart of Le Marquis in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and she completed her career when she retired from Atwoods in Poteau, Oklahoma after eleven years of loyal service. She loved working with flowers, George Strait, bling, shopping with her sister Pam, laughing and watching OU Football with her husband, Jim. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother-in-law, Michael Austin.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Faithbridge United Methodist Congregation in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Bob Cherry officiating. Burial will be at Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden- Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.Pallbearers will be: Charles Shadwick, Scott Brown, Ken Winfrey, Mike Fry, Joshua Winfrey, Barton Bates
Memorial gifts in Shaelias honor can be made to American Cancer Society.

Viewing will be 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday. The family will be visiting with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
