Sandy Carol (Benefield) Farthing of Poteau, Oklahoma was born on May 28, 1955 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Sidney John and Shirley Deloris (Oliver) Benefield. She passed away on March 6, 2020 at her residence in Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 64.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael Farthing; and two brothers. Sandy was a homemaker and loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed making arts & crafts and loved to watch movies.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2020 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, Oklahoma with Reverend Donald Benefield officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener, Oklahoma.
