He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Alice Burton. Roger was a long-time resident of Heavener and was a retired coach. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict era.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
