Patti Kay (Dedmon) Phipps of Heavener, Oklahoma was born July 16, 1953 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Dolphus and Donna (Waldron) Dedmon and passed away April 24, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 69.

Larry Shelton and wife Beverly of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

Two grandchildren:
Dalton Staley and wife Courtney of Panama, Oklahoma
Ashlee Payne and husband Derrek of Heavener, Oklahoma

One great-grandchild:
Presley Staley of Panama, Oklahoma

Numerous other relatives and a host of friends

She was preceded in death by her father, Dolphus Dedmon and wife Thelma; her step-father, Dewey Shelton; her grandmother, Marie Houck; and one great-grandchild, Reece Staley.

Patti was a life-long resident of the area, a 1971 graduate of Heavener High School, and a member of the Hodgen First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. Patti loved fishing, gardening, and working with flowers. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Freedom House Fellowship Church with Bro. Sam Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Hontubby Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be: Michael Staley, Dalton Staley, Derrek Payne, Mickey Dedmon, Clinton Phipps, Jr., and Tres Phipps

Patti will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday; 9:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. until Noon, Friday. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
