Obituary

Patsy Joyce Vinson of Heavener, Oklahoma was born December 14, 1943 in the Haw Creek Community in Heavener, Oklahoma to Virgil and Susie (Ayers) Williams and passed away on January 10, 2025 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 81.
She is survived by:
Two daughters:
Patty McCraw and husband Howard of Poteau, Oklahoma
Rose Baker of Heavener, Oklahoma
Two sons:
Monty Bost of Heavener, Oklahoma
George Vinson and wife Pamela of Heavener, Oklahoma
Her grandchildren: Ryan Vinson, Wyatt Vinson, Lila Vinson, Edna Parker, Wesley Benson, Crystal Powers, Marcus Baker, Dakota Long, and David Vinson
Numerous great-grandchildren
Two sisters:
Virgie Steelman of Wister, Oklahoma
Judy Irvin of Heavener, Oklahoma
One sister-in-law:
Patsy Williams of Heavener, Oklahoma
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones, and a host of many friends
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harlan Vinson; a son, Gary Don Bost-Vinson; a granddaughter, Julie Kay Miller; a brother, Tommy Williams; and a brother-in-law, Clyde Steelman.
Patsy was a life-long resident of the area and a poultry farmer. She was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church and the Kiwanis Club. Patsy was the Nutritionist Coordinator for the Heavener Senior Citizens Center for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Patsy will be missed by all whom loved and knew her.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Joe Haydon Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Stapp-Zoe Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Ricky Ford, Curtis Paul Faulkenberry, Skip Baxter, David Davis, Chad Beames, and Sam McKenzie.
Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday and 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, with the family visiting with friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
