Norma Jean Winters of Heavener, Oklahoma was born May 31, 1923 in Lovings, Oklahoma to Robert Wesley and Bertha Almeda (Humphreys) Tomlin and passed away October 30, 2019 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 96.
She is survived by:
Two daughters:
Charlotte Moody and husband Buck of Heavener, Oklahoma
Pam Luman and husband Ray of Wister, Oklahoma
Two sons:
Paul Winters and wife Terri of Heavener, Oklahoma
Jim Winters and wife Jami of Heavener, Oklahoma
Seven grandchildren:
Brandon Moody and wife Jennifer of Heavener; Delana Ester and husband Dustin of Heavener; Amber LeFlore and husband Jeff of Heavener; Dana Metzker and husband Clay of Heavener; Dusty Free and husband Josh of Bates, Arkansas; Stormy Winters of Heavener; and Haylee Sanchez and husband Octavio of Anchorage, Alaska
Fifteen great-grandchildren:
Lexi, Abbi, and Ashi Moody; Tyler Ester and wife April, Logan Ester; Tayler and Alex Ollie; Trentin, Jaxon, and J.D. Metzker; Kylee, Kinlee, Kason, and Kymber Free; and Kash Sanchez
Two great-great grandchildren:
John and Jolie Ester
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of many friends
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of sixty years, Doyle E. Winters; and one grandson, Dwight Luman. Jean was a life-long resident of the area, a homemaker, and a long-time Charter Member of the Lovings Baptist Church. She was the last sibling of the Tomlin family. Jean dearly loved her family and friends. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 1, 2019 at Lovings Baptist Church with Reverend Bob McCaslin, Reverend David Billy, Brother Mark Morris and Mr. Ray Luman officiating. Burial will follow in the Lovings Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Brandon Moody, Stormy Winters, Tyler Ester, Trentin Metzker, Jaxon Metzker and John Doyle Metzker
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jeff LeFlore, Clay Metzker, Josh Free, Kason Free, Logan Ester, Dustin Ester, and Octavio Sanchez
Viewing will be from 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the funeral home.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
