Nita Kay Alirez of Howe, Oklahoma was born January 23, 1964 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Donnie and Joan (Geboe) Stroud and passed away on May 1, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 60.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Stroud and her husband, Herman Alirez.
She was a long-time resident of the area and a homemaker. Nita enjoyed caring for her family and spending time with them, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to Wister Lake to watch the sunset. Nita will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Gene Heflin officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Matt Alirez, Jimmy Young, Mark Decker, Chono Trent, Dale Hutchins, and Josh Pope.
Viewing will be 9:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday at the funeral home.
