Obituary

Mike John "Wooley" McCurtain of Hodgen, Oklahoma was born September 7, 1952 in Modesto, California to Clyde and Juanita (Wright) McCurtain and passed away March 5, 2017 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 64.


He is survived by:


One daughter:
Crystal McCurtain Wilsie and husband Jessie of Bokoshe, Oklahoma


Two sons:
Michael Jay McCurtain of Bland, Missouri
Shane Darnell McCurtain of Rocksprings, Wyoming


Two sisters:
Joyce Lankford and husband James of Hodgen, Oklahoma
Vivian Barrett of Hodgen, Oklahoma


Two brothers:
C.D. "Buddy" McCurtain of Hodgen, Oklahoma
Tommy McCurtain of LeFlore, Oklahoma


Five grandchildren:
Jessie James Wilsie, Abigail Elizabeth Wilsie, Remington Clyde Wilsie, Jayden Clyde McCurtain and Alister McCurtain


Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends along with the 128 family


He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Gilda Watkins, Linda McCurtain, Ruby McCurtain and Anna Beck; and one brother, Jimmy McCurtain. Mike was a concrete finisher by trade, an avid fisherman, and a long time resident of the area.


Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 9, 2017 at DowdenRoberts Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charley Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.


Pallbearers will be: Jessie James Wilsie, Michael Jay McCurtain, Shane Darnell McCurtain, Tim Templeton, Ed Travis, and Cary Sizemore.


Viewing will be Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. The family will be visiting with friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
