Michelle Lee (Scantling) Jones of Poteau, Oklahoma was born June 15, 1979 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Steve, Sr. and Terry Ann (Amos) Scantling and passed away October 16, 2019 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 40.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Terry Scantling; her paternal grandfather, Edgar "Sokie" Scantling; and her step-grandparents, Billy and Emma Faye Jones of Durant, Oklahoma.
Michelle was a truck driver for Karr Transport. She was a 1998 graduate of Heavener High School. Michelle loved spending time with her family and collecting stuffed animals. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. Michelle will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 18, 2019 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jerry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Michael Scantling, Seth Scantling, Steven Scantling, Artie Olsen, Brad Hope, and Thomas Tackett.
She will lie in state from noon until 8:30 p.m., Thursday; 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m., Friday at the funeral home.
