Merle Chester Smith of Heavener, Oklahoma was born October 22, 1941 in Lisbon, Ohio to Leonard C. and Viola Mae (Brown) Smith and passed away October 30, 2019 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 78.

Merle was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Brenda Powell; and a grandson, Zachary Davis. He was a heavy equipment operator and belonged to the OE H& W Fund Local 12. Merle loved going to yard sales and just driving around.
