Lucio Gopar Diaz of Heavener, Oklahoma was born August 26, 1999 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Pedro Gopar Garcia and Virginia Diaz Cortes and passed away June 15, 2023 in Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 23.

He is preceded in death by his grandpa, Federico Gopar and an uncle, Beto Diaz.
Lucio was a 2019 graduate of Poteau High School. He worked at Twin Rivers Maintenance at the Poultry Plant. Lucio loved working on his trucks, messing with his dogs, helping any and everybody. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend. Lucio especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved him.
Mass will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Heavener, Oklahoma. Burial will be at a later date in the Gopar Family Cemetery in Renal, Oaxaca, Mexico. Arrangements are under the direction the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday; 9 a.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday; 9 a.m. until service time, Wednesday; 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Thursday and Friday at the funeral home.
Rosary will be 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Miguel Gopar, Braylee Garcia, Marcos Gopar, Eric Medina, Omar Aguirre, and Simeon Camacho.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Miguel Gopar.
