Leo "Bud" McKenzie of Howe, Oklahoma was born March 13, 1953 in Howe, Oklahoma to Eugene Leo and Berta (Vinson) McKenzie and passed away June 24, 2017 in Howe, Oklahoma at the age of 64.

He is survived by:

Debbie Hemphill and husband Tommy of Howe, Oklahoma
Brenda Dehart and husband Charley of Buena Vista, Colorado

Two brothers:
Don McKenzie and wife Jonita of Howe, Oklahoma
Sam McKenzie and wife Lisa of Howe, Oklahoma

Four aunts:
Jane Davis of Monroe, Oklahoma
Ann Shephard of Monroe, Oklahoma
Pat Vinson of Howe, Oklahoma
Mildred Lockhart of Poteau, Oklahoma

Special caregiver:
Sandy Lambert of Hodgen, Oklahoma

Five grandchildren:
Hunter and Ashlyn (little sis) Mundy, Jalee, Triton, and Braxton McKenzie all of Poteau, Oklahoma

Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of many friends

He was preceded in death by his parents. Leo was a 1971 graduate of Poteau High School. He was a Carpenter by trade in Construction and a member of Springhill Baptist Church. Leo was a member of the Heavener Masonic Lodge #154. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Springhill Baptist Church in Howe, Oklahoma with Pastor Justin McKenzie and Reverend Bob Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma with Masonic Rights.

Pallbearers will be: JT Staats, Warren Kester, Dub Evans, Jess Gatlin, Frankie Brown, and Carl Grayson

Honorary Pallbearer will be: Jim Crouch, Billy Wilson, Brent Thompson, and Charley Mattox

Viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Sunday; 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Monday; and 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
