Lena Joan Gibbens of Heavener, Oklahoma was born June 21, 1940 in Neosho, Missouri to Marion and Mabel (Stuckey) Gilmore and passed away April 25, 2018 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 77.

She is survived by:

Three daughters:
Lorri Gibbens of the Hontubby Community
Saundra Taylor of Dallas, Texas
Debra Meskimen and husband John of Portland, Oregon

One son:
Travis Gibbens and wife Ryan of Houston, Texas

Six sisters

Two brothers

Eight grandchildren

Eight great-grandchildren

Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bill Gibbens. Joan was a life-long resident of the area, a homemaker, and a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed hand quilting. Joan will be deeply missed by many.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. James Morrison and Mr. Rick West officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
