Laverne (Hoel) Wood of Heavener, Oklahoma was born on September 17, 1929 to Charles and Tressie Lee (Stanly) Hoel in Dallas, Texas and passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 94.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Tressie Hoel; her husband, Tracy Wood; a son, Ronnie Wood; a daughter, Linda Wood; and two brothers, Stanley and Charles Hoel.
Laverne was a longtime resident of the area and a retired bookkeeper/seamstress. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Moore Memorial Garden in Arlington, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
