L.A. Walker of Zoe, Oklahoma was born April 22, 1931 in Rich Mountain, Arkansas to Lawrence Abraham and Martha Lou (Little) Walker and passed away August 2, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 86.

He is survived by:

One daughter:
Twana Walker of Stapp Community

One brother:
Jack Walker and wife Penny of Stapp-Zoe Community

One brother-in-law:
James McBride and wife Freddie of Tulsa, Oklahoma

Three nieces:
Annette Scott and husband Ceb of Haw Creek Community.
Kathy Crow and husband Larry of Tulsa, Oklahoma
Pat Shatsar and husband Ron of Stapp-Zoe Community

One nephew:
Stan McBride of Tulsa, Oklahoma

Numerous loved ones and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty Jo McBride Walker. L.A. was a life-long resident of the area, a member of Stapp-Zoe Baptist Church, and was a Machinist at Tinker Air Force Base. L.A. was a veteran of the Unites States Air Force, where he served his country in the Korean Conflict. He loved airplanes, trains, and cats.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Stapp-Zoe Baptist Church in the Stapp-Zoe Community with Reverend Bob Garrett and Reverend Dan Lynch officiating. Burial will follow in Stapp-Zoe Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be: Ron Shatsar, Cole Caughern, Ceb Scott, Kyle Ward, Aaron Alexander, and Bryce Edmondson

Viewing will be from noon until 8:30 p.m., Friday and 8:30 a.m. until noon, Saturday.
