Kelly Dawn Smith of Hodgen, Oklahoma was born June 18, 1980 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Don and Susan (Kelly) Smith and passed away on August 27, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 43.

John Kelly and wife June of Heavener, Oklahoma
One niece:
Cianna Jean Rattan and husband Jake of McAlester, Oklahoma
One great-nephew:
Rome Rattan of McAlester, Oklahoma
Numerous other cousins and a host of friends
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Welton and Betty Kelly; her paternal grandparents, Dale and Virginia Smith; one aunt, Diane Smith; and one uncle, Danny Hamilton. Kelly was a life-long resident of the area and a 1998 graduate of Howe High School. She loved breakaway roping and team roping. Kelly also loved all animals and especially loved collecting goats. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Hodgen, Oklahoma with Brother John Paul McAlester officiating. Burial will follow in Hodgen Cemetery in Hodgen, Oklahoma under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Lon Roop, Buddy Kelly, Cody Eaton, Chip Hamilton, Woody Woodruff, and Pake McEntire
Viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, and 9:00 a.m. until Noon, Thursday.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
