Joseph "Joe R." Ralph Johnson of Hontubby, Oklahoma was born March 25, 1945 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Shirley "Jack" Ralph and Beatrice B. (Burris) Johnson and passed away June 19, 2024 at his home at the age of 79.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one uncle, Joe A. Johnson; and his friend Bobby "Bucky" Terry, Jr.
Joe R. was a life-long resident of the area and graduated from Heavener High School in 1963 as the class valedictorian. He went on to further to his education at Southeastern Oklahoma State College. Joe R. was a land man agent for years and also held the office of City Manager in Heavener and Broken Bow at various times. A few of his favorite things to do were playing golf and fishing. Joe R. was a simple man, but that didnt change the fact that he was a good friend and a good person in general.
No Services are scheduled at this time. Joe R.s wishes were for his cremains to be scattered in the Blackfork River. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
