Jonnie Kay Myers of Heavener, Oklahoma was born September 15, 1941 in San Diego California to John Kastrup Funk and Jane Gavin (Metzer) Hughes and passed away October 8, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 79.
She is survived by:

Shawn Yeager and husband Chris of Heavener, Oklahoma
Two sons:
Darren Cole and wife Mary of Bristol, Tennessee
Keith Cole and wife Cherie of Virginia Beach, Virginia
One sister:
Melinda Ballentine and husband Dale of Heavener, Oklahoma
One brother:
Jim Hughes of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Six grandchildren:
Joshua Cole and wife Raina of Jacksonville, North Carolina
Adam Cole and wife Jill of Morehead City, North Carolina
Kara Fox and husband Will of Virginia Beach, Virginia
Kristin Driscoll and husband Myles of Virginia Beach, Virginia
Kade Yeager and wife Megan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Aaron Yeager of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Other loved ones and a host of friends
Jonnie was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Henrietta Butler Funk. She was a long-time resident of Heavener and a retired legal secretary. Jonnie was a very giving person and an avid contributor to the Humane Society and other local charities. She was also a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Jonnie will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 2, 2020 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Brock Hardin officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Poteau Valley Humane Society, P.O. Box 15, Poteau, Oklahoma, 74953.
