JoAnn Adams of Wister, Oklahoma was born August 21, 1942 in California to Fred and Ethel (Russell) Baker and went to be with her Lord on July 6, 2017 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 74.

She is survived by:

Two sons:
Brian Adams and wife Kristina of Heavener, Oklahoma
Curtis Adams and wife Tina of Pocola, Oklahoma

One daughter:
Julie Meier and husband Rob Meier (worlds greatest gravy maker) of Memphis, Tennessee

One sister:
Sue Cox of Heavener, Oklahoma

Seven grandchildren:
Austin and Christopher Adams of Heavener, Oklahoma
Dalton, Ty, and Boady Meier of Memphis, Tennessee
Brooklyn and Addison Adams of Pocola, Oklahoma

She leaves behind lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom she loved so very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger Adams; two brothers Johnny and David Baker; and three sisters, Shirley Jenkins, Jan Baker, and Judy Girodo. JoAnn was a life-long resident of the area and retired from Heavener Public Schools where she worked as a Cook in the Cafeteria. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 10, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Brock Hardin officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
