Jesse Boyd Leatherwood of Howe, Oklahoma was born March 8, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Valgene "Butch" and Helen (Barnhart) Leatherwood and passed away November 10, 2025 in Howe, Oklahoma at the age of 67.

One brother:

Dwayne Leatherwood and wife Sherry of Howe, Oklahoma

Four grandchildren:

Eastern Leatherwood, Jazmine Morrison, Adley Leatherwood, and Ryliegh Leatherwood

Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other loved ones, and host of friends

He was preceded in death by his father, Valgene "Butch" Leatherwood.

Jesse was a long-time resident of the area, a graduate of Howe High School, and a member of Trinity Baptist Church, and worked at Bachco on Lead Production line. During his high school and college years, he participated in rodeos and was a member of the NFR. He was also an avid outdoorsman. Jesse loved spending time with his family and friends.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Jesse will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2025 at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, Oklahoma with Dr. Jeff Beshear officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until service time, Friday. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home
