Jean Marrow of the Reichert Community was born December 25, 1934 in Loyal, Oklahoma to Floyd and Ina (Waters) Venable and passed away June 4, 2017 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 82.

Sally Strong and husband Bill of Santa Fe, New Mexico
Numerous other relatives and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ina Venable; two sisters, Sherry Venable and Ina "Mimi" Bray; one brother, Allen Venable; two brothers-in-law, R.T. Marrow and Billy Ray; and one sister-in-law, Alline Stanley. Jean graduated from Patti Wellder High School in Victoria, Texas and received her masters degree from the University of Texas. She was a member of the Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church, where she was the pianist for 35 years. She was also the Minister of Music at First United Methodist Church in Poteau, Oklahoma. Jean retired from Heavener Public Schools in 1993, where she taught Arts & Music. She was a member of the Oklahoma Retired Teachers Association. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 8, 2017 at the Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church with Benny Marrow and Reverend Carrol Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will follow in Muse Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Family
Viewing will be from noon until 8:30 p.m., Tuesday; 8:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday; and 8:30 a.m. until noon, Thursday. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
