J.C. Hamner of Heavener, Oklahoma was born January 16, 1934 in Reichert, Oklahoma to Cleave and Ruth (Milligan) Hamner and passed away on October 20, 2019 in Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 85.

Martha Naylor of Heavener, Oklahoma
Carol Ford of Wister, Oklahoma
Patricia (Tissa) Brown of Heavener, Oklahoma
Seven grandchildren:
Bryan Bebermeyer and wife Amy of Howe, Oklahoma
Brandon Dedmon of Pensacola, Florida
Kyle Hamner of Bates, Arkansas
Jace Hamner and wife Lupe of Bowles, Arkansas
Collin Hamner and wife Mindy of Heavener, Oklahoma

J.C. was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Hamner and Bob Hamner; three sisters, Aline Luman, Mary Sue Sisco and infant Judy. J.C. was a long-time resident of the area and worked maintenance for Hiram Walker Allied Domecq for fourteen years. He loved fishing and gardening. J.C. was an avid OU Sooner and Oklahoma City Thunder fan and loved spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Sam Dyer and Reverend Charlie Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Reichert Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Viewing will be 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. until service time, Wednesday. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Heavener First Baptist Church Hope Center.
