Isaac "Pete" Wade Jones of Heavener, Oklahoma was born January 15, 1961 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Isaac William and Cordia (Graham) Jones and passed away August 17, 2024 in Heavener, Oklahoma surrounded by his family at the age of 63.
He is survived by:
Three sisters:
Shirley Clinton and husband Willie of Heavener, Oklahoma
Judy Dunigan and late husband Jimmy of Heavener, Oklahoma
Charlene Harris and husband Bob of Heavener, Oklahoma
One brother:
Freddy Jones and wife Carolyn of Heavener, Oklahoma
There are so many nieces, nephews, cousins, grand-nieces and nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews, and a host of friends to mention, that we wouldnt want to leave anyone out.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Isaac W. and Cordia Jones; three sisters Maxine McCoy, Bobby Holt, and Patsy Watts; two brothers Leo Jones and Billy Jones; a niece, Tracie Freeman; and great-nephew, Jacob Freeman.
Pete was a lifelong resident of the area. He worked as a roughneck and logger. Pete was an avid hunter and fisherman. He attended church when and where he could. Pete loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by anyone whom knew and loved him.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Mt. View Baptist Church in the Glendale Community with Pastor Noah Watts and Reverend Tim Trent officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Randy Sisco, Jimmy Tolleson, Alfred Watts, Steve Watts, Sam Watts, and Monty Bost.
Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Monday. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
