Harvey Hugh Waddles of Poteau, Oklahoma was born January 10, 1947 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Thomas Birchie Waddles and Sarah Adeline (Evans) King and passed away on May 29, 2022 in Talihina, Oklahoma at the age of 75.

He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Birchie Waddles and Sarah Adeline (Evans) King; one son Joseph D. Waddles; his step-father Junior Thomas King; one sister Judy Graham; two brothers Thomas Waddle and Charles Nash.
Harvey was a lifelong resident of the area, a logger, and a carpenter. He loved anything to do with horses, hunting, fishing, and hanging out with his family and friends especially his dogs, Junior and Brim. He was a veteran, where he served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with his Son-in-law, Mark Shuffield officiating. Burial will follow in Howe Cemetery in Howe, Oklahoma under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Military honors will be provided by the Poteau Disabled American Veterans #63 and will be escorted by Patriot Riders.
Pallbearers will be: T.J. Huett, Steven Huett, Trevor Shuffield, Tyler Shuffield, Jay Waddle, and Lance Henslee.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Scotty J. Woodral, Rick Harris, Richard Cooper, Monty Woodral, Scotty D. Woodral, Joshua A. Waddles, and Terry S. Harris.
Viewing will be from noon until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until service time, Thursday.
The family will have visitation with friends on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
