Glendon "Johnny" Watkins of Howe, Oklahoma was born July 27, 1926 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Lewis and Nettie (Caughern) Watkins and passed away December 3, 2017 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 91.

He is survived by:

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of many friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Nettie Watkins; his wife, Verna Watkins; one granddaughter, Jennifer Watkins; and five brothers Lewis"Buck", Joey "Bill", Raymond, Paul, and H.C. "Slick" Watkins. Johnny was a retired Maintenance Supervisor for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, a Carpenter, and if there was any work going on he was always known as the "Boss". He was a member of the Howe Assembly of God Church. Johnny was a veteran of the World War II era. He was a loving father, husband, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Johnny will be dearly missed. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Howe Assembly of God in Howe, Oklahoma with Reverend Daniel Brittain and Reverend Charles Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Howe Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be: Nathan Hill, James Hill, Robert Trotter, Dalton Smith, Tyler Wann, Joshua Smith, Jacob Smith, and Bradley Davis.

Viewing will be from noon until 8:30 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday; and 8:30 a.m. until noon, Thursday.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
