Gaila Bass of Heavener, Oklahoma was born October 21, 1961 in Dallas, Texas to J.W. and Bertie Lee (Hass) Bass and passed away on September 9, 2025 surrounded by family and friends in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 63.

Numerous aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and host of friends

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Bertie Bass; one brother, Jerry Bass; and a great niece, Bailee McNear.

Gaila was a longtime resident of the area and a caregiver. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially her time at Ed & Linda's 128 Bar and Grill. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time in the woods, hunting and gardening. Gaila will be deeply missed by so many.

The family wants to give a special thanks to the Heavener Nursing Home and the Heart of Hospice for the wonderful care that was shown to Gaila. We cannot thank you all enough.

Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
