Fredrick L. "Fred" Sobey of Poteau, Oklahoma was born November 28, 1940 in Golden, Colorado to Richard John Sobey and Martha B. (Bader) Purvis and passed away July 13, 2024 in Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 83.
He is survived by:
One daughter:
Michele Fredrickson and husband David of Poteau, Oklahoma
One sister:
Sarah B. Wall of Denver, Colorado
Three grandchildren:
Jacob, Coy, and Kodie Fredrickson
He was preceded in death by his parents. Fred was a longtime resident of the area and a musician. He enjoyed the outdoors and sitting by the fire. Fred loved music, fishing, hunting, and hanging out with his family. He will deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
There will be a memorial table along with a register book in memory of Fred for friends to sign from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., along with a visitation with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
