Evie Lorene (Roberts) Faulkenberry of Bentonville, Arkansas, formerly of Poteau, Oklahoma, was born May 7, 1927 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Delmar and Mae (Hudson) Roberts and passed away December 13, 2024 in Centerton, Arkansas at the age of 97.

Phyllis Robinson and husband Stan of Bentonville, Arkansas
Two sons:
Merle Faulkenberry and wife Sharon of Little Rock, Arkansas
C.L. Faulkenberry and wife Mary Lou of Mountain City, Georgia
Seven grandchildren
Eleven great-grandchildren
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones
She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Olen Faulkenberry; four brothers, Donald, Wayne, Floyd, and Vernon Roberts; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Harris. Evie attended Kiamichi Vo-Tech in 1971-1972 and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at then the LeFlore County Memorial Hospital in Poteau, Oklahoma, but also for some local doctors until her retirement. Evie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center Chapel (formerly Grace Manor Funeral Home) at 28918 205th Avenue, Poteau, Oklahoma with Mr. Stan Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Thursday at the Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center Chapel, 28918 205th Avenue, Poteau, Oklahoma.
