Emma Jean (Dodson) Williams, 93, of Fanshawe, Oklahoma was born March 12, 1933 in Coweta, Oklahoma to Grover and Bessie Dodson and passed away on May 29, 2026.

Emma was united in marriage to Roger Delano Williams on April 19, 1952. Emma moved to Fanshawe, Oklahoma from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 1974.  She worked as a cook for Broken Arrow Public School and Fanshawe Public School and always enjoyed her time in the kitchen. She approached life with a cup of strong coffee and always had an open-door policy, sharing her home with family and friends. Emma enjoyed a good Hallmark movie, cooking meals, baking cookies for grandkids and gardening. Her legacy is a growing family tree that is deeply rooted in love.

Emma is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger Delano Williams; eight brothers: Abner, Albert, George, Elmer, G.L., Eulas, J.C., and Aaron; two sisters Maxine and Lorene; and one grandchild, Melissa.

Numerous other loved ones and a host of many friends who loved Emma very much.

Funeral service to honor Emma's life will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the Fanshawe Community of Christ Church in Fanshawe, Oklahoma with Elder Sally McGowen officiating under the direction and care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be: Her Grandsons

Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3rd and 9:00 a.m. until Noon, Thursday, June 4th at the funeral home.

The family will have visitation with friends on Wednesday, June 3rd from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener, Oklahoma.
