Elizabeth Ann Whitworth of Bristow, Oklahoma was born May 31, 1947 in Oneida, Tennessee to Hobert Otto and Georgia (Murphy) Baird and passed away July 13, 2017 in Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 70.

She is survived by:

Lyle Whitworth and wife Amy of Poteau, Oklahoma

Three sisters:
Peggy Jones of Walkertown, North Carolina
Cindy Tarter of London, Kentucky
Sarah Hoover of Lexington, Kentucky

Three grandchildren:
Connor, Garrison, and Paige Whitworth of Poteau, Oklahoma

Many beloved nieces, nephews, other family members, and dear friends

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Tommy Gene Baird. Elizabeth was a long-term resident of Bristow, a member of the First Baptist Church in Bristow, where she was an active member in the choir. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma with Reverend Brian Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Memorial service will be 6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Bristow, Oklahoma with Brother D.J. Carney officiating. The family is inviting everyone to join the family in the gymnasium for a meal following the Memorial service.
