Dorene Gay Smallwood of Howe, Oklahoma was born March 14, 1956 to Edward and Betty Gregory and passed away October 6, 2017 at her home surrounded by family and friends at the age of 61.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Edward Gregory; two sisters, Janis Gregory and Kay Gregory; and a former husband, Tommy Testerman. Dorene was long-time resident of the area and a housewife. She worked as a manager at A & W when it first opened in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Dorene loved spending time with her family, her dogs, and her husband. She loved gardening and talking to her daughter on the phone as much as possible, even though she lived so far away. She loved to talk to her sisters every day. Dorene will be greatly remembered and missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charley Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Hontubby Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

The family will visit with friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
