Obituary

Donna Mae (Roop) Miller was born September 27, 1950 (the youngest twin by five minutes) in Sherman, Texas to Peggy Joe (Stine) and Jerry Edwin Roop. She left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on September 06, 2023 in Mustang, Oklahoma after a long illness.
Donna accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of ten at the First Baptist Church while her father was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. She was very proud of the many opportunities that came her way as they moved from one base and state to another. She attended schools in Texas, Alaska, Florida and Oklahoma. She was one week short of attending school in North Dakota before they moved to Florida.
Her dad had been transferred from Minot to Ft. Walton Beach, FL with 72 hours-notice to be on base. With the family of seven in their 57 Plymouth they had driven to and from Alaska they now drove to Florida driving straight into a hurricane named "Donna". The family always reminded her of that special arrival into such a big storm.
Donna and her twin, Donald, were very proud of being in the first class to go through the new junior and high school building when their family moved back to the Heavener/Loving Community where they began the seventh grade. They graduated with the class of 1968, a very special and tight-knit group.
She worked hard at whatever she was doing whether it was raising chickens, laying hens, a garden or devoting her life to children and grandchildren and all their interests. Not even the weather would slow her down when it came to attending a game or activity for her children or grandchildren. Everyone knew that when Donna was near there would be laughter and stories about her family. Donna was a graduate of Francis Tuttle Vo-tech in 1991. She enjoyed her work as a Respiratory Therapist until her health made it no longer possible. She worked as a medical stenographer for several years after that.
Everyone knew Donna and Loyce were avid Oklahoma Sooner fans and always ready to cheer them on dressed for the game even at home. She was an encourager, a friend and could cry or giggle with each of them. Donna knew how to make you feel loved. Donna also developed a reputation as a wonderful cook and seamstress. Anytime, anywhere someone needed a meal or clothing item made or repaired, she would be there. She didnt mind preparing or cooking the absolute best deer meat or fish.
Donna and Loyce W. Miller joined their lives as one on December 23, 1983 (in spite of the snow that threatened to interfere). It was immediately evident that they were truly perfect for each other. You rarely saw one without the other in their nearly 39 years together. She told numerous people that the greatest time in her life was when Loyce became her best friend and partner. She also said that having Max Roberts as a brother-in-law brought her lots of laughter and opportunities to give her "professional advice" about numerous subjects.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Sharon J. (Roop) and husband Raymond Wiles; two brothers, Gary Edwin Roop and Donald Ray Roop; and two brothers-in-law, Gene and Raymond Miller.
She is survived by:
Her husband: Loyce of the home
One sister: Lynne (Roop) and husband Bill Pitchford
Two daughters: Shasha S. (Miller) and husband Richard Gilbert; and Amy (Wiles) Green
One son: Gary Don and wife Nicola (Pardue) Wiles
Grandchildren: Hailey, Alex, Ashten, and Ethan Wiles, Corinne and Cieana Gilbert

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of many friends especially including the class of Heavener High School 1968.
