Donald Eldo Jenkins of Heavener, Oklahoma was born March 2, 1935 in Oakland, Arkansas to Tonie and Canzada (Taylor) Jenkins and passed away at his home in Heavener on December 29, 2017 at the age of 82.
He is survived by:

Leslie Wilson and husband Sam of Heavener, Oklahoma
Kristen Slusser and husband Steve of Heavener, Oklahoma
One sister:
Frances Johnson and husband Rex of Gainesville
Four step-grandchildren:
Sean Wilson and wife Monica, Clancy Wilson, Mackenzie and Madison Slusser all of Heavener, Oklahoma
Four nieces:
Teresa Hicks and husband Dan and their children, Matt, Caroline Cotner and husband Andy
Lisa Monkress and daughter, Marissa Monkress
Pat and Connie Jenkins
One nephew:
Eric Johnson and friend Linda
One sister-in-law:
Theo Jenkins of Springfield
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley (Baker) Schroeder Jenkins; and two brothers, Rex Jenkins and Fred Jenkins. Donald was a life-long resident of the area. He was raised on a farm at Pontiac, Missouri. After his graduation from Gainesville High School in 1952, he went to work in Wichita, Kansas, eventually retiring as an Associate Office Coordinator for the U.S. Postal Service. He also served in the United States Army and spent time in Korea. Donald was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Heavener Masonic Lodge #154.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Sam Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park in Heavener, Oklahoma under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Sam Wilson, Steve Slusser, Eric Johnson, Sean Wilson, Clancy Wilson, and Tom Smithwick.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Rex Johnson, Gene Snelson, Danny Love, Bo Shupert, Dave Washington, and Bob Renfro.
Viewing will be from noon until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday; 8:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Thursday; 8:30 a.m. until noon, Friday.
The family will meet with friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
