Don Wayne Mayes of Gore, Oklahoma was born September 5, 1967 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to J.D. and Carroll (Renfro) Mayes and passed away June 14, 2018 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 50.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Mayes; his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Julia Renfro; his paternal grandparents, Leota and Mangus Mayes; one brother, Jimmy Mayes; one Aunt, Deanie Mayes Turley; and one uncle, Lee Ray Mayes.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at White Cemetery Chapel in Gore, Oklahoma with Reverend Kenneth Bird and Mr. Bud Cowart officiating. Burial will follow in White Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Bud Cowart, Clifford Cowart, Colt Mayes, Andrew Ball, Doug Reynolds, Bobby Milligan, and Curtis Smith
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jerry Campbell, Adam Ball, Joe Everett, and Jaden Long
Viewing will be from Noon until 8:00 p.m., Monday at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener, Noon until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, and 9:00 a.m. until Noon, Wednesday at Agent Millsap Event Center in Gore.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at Agent Millsap Event Center in Gore.
