Dale Eugene "Grouch" Goodier, 87, of Heavener, Oklahoma was born September 13, 1930 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Rondie and Forest Goodier and passed away June 16, 2018 in Heavener, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Bobby Weems; a grandson, Jacob Freeman; a granddaughter, Wendy Davis; and a great grandson, Baby Colton.
Dale was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a long distance truck driver for 47 years. He stepped out of the truck and onto the lawn mower, where he stayed until he moved on to greener grass. Dale loved his church family, where he was a Deacon of the Hontubby Baptist Church. He was also a member of the American Legion. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Dale was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by many.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the Hontubby Baptist Church with Brother David Hardin and Brother Alvin Branscum officiating. Burial will follow in Hontubby Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Stephen, Bryan and Garrett Huckaby, Casey Crouch, Chris Hackney, and Kyler Terry
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Clinton and Brayson Huckaby, Ray Freeman, Larry, Brayden, Jesse, and DJ Davis, and Eli and Tate Crouch
Viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Monday and 8:30 a.m. until noon, Tuesday. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
