Clem Lee Burroughs, 86, of Heavener, Oklahoma was born April 11, 1938 in Howe, Oklahoma to Alfred and Mathey (Larimore) Burroughs. He was greeted into heaven on July 5, 2024 at his home in Heavener, Oklahoma.

10 great-grandchildren:
Ainsley Webster, Addison Webster, Ethan Pourtorkan, Shawn Pourtorkan, Landon Pourtorkan, Everett Foster, Kennedi Cox, Tripp Cox, Brighton Burroughs, and Everlee Yount
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Mathey Burroughs; two sisters, Leida Cook and Evelyn Webb; and two brothers, George and Calvin Burroughs.
Clem was a life-long resident of the area, a 1956 graduate of Howe High School, and a member and Deacon of the Heavener First Baptist Church. He retired as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. After retiring, he worked for 14 years at Heavener Public Schools as a computer technician. Clem was a pilot and loved to fly. He enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, tinkering with small engines, and helping others in any way that he could. Clem also loved animals and the outdoors.
Clems faith in God was undeniable. He embraced and loved his role as Gods servant. He always looked for opportunities to share his faith with others and did so often with friends and strangers. He lived his life desiring what Jesus did, that no one should perish, but that everyone should come to repentance through faith in Christ and have eternal life in Heaven. He never boasted or bragged. He kept Micah 6:8 displayed on his phone which described his daily life and walk with God. "He has shown you O man what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."
Gods love in the Bible is often described as unconditional and endless, a love that transcends human understanding. This divine love is not based on our actions or worthiness but is freely given to all who seek it.
Clem loved the Lord and his family beyond measure and loved being a Christian, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather, and a friend to every single person he ever met. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Sam Dyer and Mr. Steve Crittenden officiating. Interment will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Jim Burroughs, Steve Crittenden, Chris Terry, Ryan Yount, Wade Pierson, and Rudy Wilson.
Viewing will be from Noon until 8:00 p.m., Monday; 9:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Tuesday; and 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Wednesday. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
