Cheryl Jean Hornback of Howe, Oklahoma was born August 17, 1955 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Oral and Louise (Hampton) Hornback and passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 in Poteau, Oklahoma at the Oaks Healthcare Center at the age of 68.
She is survived by:

Linda Hall and husband Joe Haydon of Howe, Oklahoma
Kellie Lopez and husband Mike of Van Buren, Arkansas

Christie Hillebrand and husband Brian
Four nephews:
Russell Hall and wife Lori
Randall Hall and wife Paula
Brandon Lopez and wife Shauna
Kendall Lopez and wife Andrea
Five great-nephews
Seven great-nieces
Two great-great-nephews
One great-great-niece
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oral and Louise Hornback.
Cheryl was raised in Howe, Oklahoma and attended Heavener Elementary and Bost School in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Heavener, Oklahoma. Cheryl moved to the Oaks Healthcare Center in Poteau on January 1, 2006. Our family appreciates the great care that Cheryl received by all the staff during her 18+ years there. Cheryl will be missed by all whom loved and knew her.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Joe Haydon Hall and Pastor Brandon Lopez officiating. Burial will follow in the Howe Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the funeral home.
