Charles J. Diedrich of Heavener, Oklahoma was born November 4, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to Charles Gustave and Emma Kathleen (Borneman) Diedrich and passed away on August 15, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 93.

Kaycee Morrison and husband Nick of Heavener, Oklahoma
Kellie Brown and husband Seth of Yukon, Oklahoma
Johnathon Diedrich of Summerfield, Oklahoma

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Verda Diedrich; one son, Tommy Diedrich; and one sister, Betty Johnson.
Charles was a long-time resident of the area and a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served his country during the Korean Conflict. He retired from K.C.S. Railroad, where he worked as a Conductor. Charles was also a member and Deacon of the Pleasant Valley Free Will Baptist Church in Poteau, Oklahoma and a member of the Heavener V.F.W. Post 8403.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, Oklahoma with Reverend Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park, with military honors by Poteau D.A.V. Chapter 63. Arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Johnathon Diedrich, Ethan Hight, Bryson Hight, Vaughn Jordan, Aidan Jordan, Gabriel McAfee
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mason Reeves and Haley Shubert
Viewing will be from Noon until 6:00 p.m., Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
