Bobby Gene Henry of Heavener, Oklahoma was born October 24, 1931 in Rock Springs, Arkansas to Kay Henry and Effie Melveda (Sutterfield) and passed away November 15, 2016 in Poteau, Oklahoma at the age of 85.

He is survived by:

Three daughters:
Louquita Brown and husband Joe of Pineville, Missouri
Melveda Harborson and husband Loren of Coaldale, Arkansas
Anita Henry and Mose Brown of Heavener, Oklahoma

Three sisters:
Ella Mae Yandell of Heavener, Oklahoma
Virginia Howard of Heavener, Oklahoma
Helen Maloy and husband Troy of Heavener, Oklahoma

Two brothers:
Alvin Branscum and wife Claudiette of Whitesboro, Oklahoma
Doug Branscum and wife Jackie of Poteau, Oklahoma

12 grandchildren

22 great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Modene, Dolphine Rice and Shirley Benefield, and his step dad Roy Branscum. Bobby was a logger and a member of Hontubby Baptist Church.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Hardin and Reverend Alvin Branscum officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma
