Bobby Lee Benson of Heavener, Oklahoma was born January 18, 1941 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Delmar and Altie Mae (Woodral) Benson and passed away September 16, 2025 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 84.

He is survived by:

Peggy Ann Terry

Janis Levon Tucker

One brother:

Kenneth Ray Benson

Two aunts:

Evelyn Woodral

Eva Janway

Several other loved ones and a host of friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, Altie Mae and Delmar Benson; two sisters, Patricia Benson and Carolyn Jo (Benson) Evans; and two brothers, Jesse Lee Benson and Eugene Benson.

Bobby was a life-long resident of Heavener and was a woodsman. He loved being around his family and friends. Bobby was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a veteran, where he served his country in the United States Army.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Hontubby Cemetery with Brother Joe Haydon Hall officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma with military honors by the Poteau DAV Chapter #63.
