Obituary

Bill T. Queen of Heavener, Oklahoma was born February 25, 1935 in the Hontubby Community to Vacher and Hester (McMahan) Queen and passed away on January 8, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 85.
He is survived by:
Two daughters:
Melinda Davis and husband Dwayne of Heavener, Oklahoma
Melissa Queen of the home
One brother:
Jerry Queen and wife Sue of Westville, Oklahoma
Three grandchildren:
Dustin Davis and wife Jessica
Tristen Davis
Dalton Davis
Two special grandchildren:
Brandon and Corby Kirkland
Two great-grandchildren:
Averi and Parker
One nephew:
Joel Queen and wife Kristen
One niece:
Leah Queen
Other family members and a host of friends
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cleo (Horsley) Queen. Bill was a longtime resident of the area and a rancher. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association for 40 plus years and a member of the Forrester Baptist Church. Bill trained cutting horses where he had 2 champions, one mare and one stallion. Two of his horses that he trained were sent to Russia. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bill will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 11, 2021 at Forrester Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Steelman officiating. Burial will follow in Hontubby Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Dustin Davis, Tristen Davis, Dalton Davis, Joel Queen, Brandon Kirkland, and Corby Kirkland.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made in honor of Bill to Gideon Bibles.
Viewing will be from Noon until 8:00 p.m., Sunday and 8:30 a.m. until noon, Monday at the funeral home.
