Betty Ruth Thomas of Howe, Oklahoma was born on February 25, 1931 in the Conser Community in Heavener, Oklahoma to John W. and Dovie (Roberts) Nobles and passed away October 21, 2024 in Howe, Oklahoma at the age of 93.
She is survived by:
Three daughters:
Margaret Dixon and husband Vaughn of Corona, California
Glinda Welty and husband Jerry of Heavener, Oklahoma
Diane Booher of Heavener, Oklahoma
One sister:
Cheree Cowan of Mesquite, Texas
Seven grandchildren
Several great-grandchildren
Several great-great-grandchildren
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones and host of friends
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dovie Nobles; her husband, Johnny Thomas; one daughter, Rebecca Lynn Thomas; one son-in-law, Glynn Booher; one grandson, Eric Booher; and 10 siblings.
Betty was a long-time resident of the area, an owner/operator of a Dry Cleaner business, and a member of the First Baptist Church. She also worked in a clothing factory, as a housekeeper, and a caregiver. Betty loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Sam Dyer officiating. Interment will be in the U. S. National Cemetery in Ft. Smith, Arkansas under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Viewing will be from Noon until 8:30 p.m., with the family visiting with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
