Andre Ming of Poteau, Oklahoma was born March 6, 1952 in Kansas City, Kansas to Lonnie and Velta (Brown) Ming and went home to be with his Lord and Savior while surrounded by his family on May 28, 2026 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 74.

Sheila Trent and husband Martin of Mulberry, Arkansas
Numerous other loved ones and a host of many friends who loved Andre very much.
Andre was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Velta Ming; and his daughter, Tara Landers.
Andre, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away leaving behind a legacy of service and love. He enjoyed a fulfilling career as a retired Engineer for the A & M Railroad and devoted many years as the pastor of the Howe Assembly of God. Andre cherished spending time with his family and friends, finding joy in riding motorcycles and collecting and building train sets. He was an active member of the Green Country Cowboy Church, where he shared his musical talents by playing the bass and singing with the worship team. His warm spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
An informal visitation to honor s Andre's life will be on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Green Country Cowboy Church in Poteau, Oklahoma, Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener, Oklahoma.
