Alvin Ray Raines of McCurtain, Oklahoma was born March 15, 1953 in Breckenridge, Texas and passed away May 24, 2019 at his home in McCurtain, Oklahoma at the age of 66.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild, Aaron Jelemensky.
Alvin came to know his Savior in 1983. He was an anointed teacher of the Word of Yahweh. In 2013, he was instrumental in starting a local fellowship in Pocola, BNai Israel Torah Assembly, which moved to Spiro last year. Alvin loved spending time with his family, assembly and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Direct burial was at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Milton Cemetery in Bokoshe, Oklahoma. Arrangements were under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener, Oklahoma.
